Know what your movers will need from you
What Your Movers Want You To KnowChoosing to have a professional moving company transport your belongings means that you have entrusted them to do a job well, better than any other company, or even yourself. You are paying for professionalism. And with that high level of service, comes knowledge. So, just like you will have requirements that your chosen moving company must fulfill, they to will have requisites from you which will make moving day a smooth experience for all. What You Need To know1. Packing Should Be Completed Before The Movers Arrive 2. Have Your Paperwork Organized 3. Mark Any Items Not To Be Moved Or Touched 4. Boxes Should Be Labeled Correctly When labeling your boxes, include: room, contents and any special handling instructions, such as: FRAGILE, or This Side Up. Make sure to use a marker or pen that can be clearly seen. 5. Make Sure No Non-Allowables Are Packed 6. Pets Should Be Kept Out Of The Way Of The Movers 7. Be Present On Moving Day If you are not able to be present on moving day, have a third party, such as a family member, or good friend available to assist the movers. Make sure you go over the details of the move with the person you have chosen. They will be required to sign documents obligating you to charges and authorizing the movers to move your belongings. If possible, be available by phone, should any issues arise. 8. Have Cash Available To Tip The Movers Clear communication from both you and the moving company is necessary for a successful move. Having hired professional movers, they will have gathered important details such as parking for the truck and any other relevant information prior to moving day. |
